PLEASE NOTE: FACEPLATES ARE INCLUDED WITH THE CONSOLES. When requesting quote, please specify the equipment that will be going into the console so that we can include the custom faceplates.
The AK-7 console provides seven inches (7") of mounting space with included faceplates. The top (3") section will easily handle the deepest radio or light/siren controller, while the lower (4") section is perfect for a remote radio head or light/siren controller. The package includes a 28" extruded floorplate with mounting brackets for the PI Sedan. This allows the mounting of an armrest and dual cup holder.
The AK-7 utilizes the Smooth Glide computer mount that has been sold on the AK-12 for the past 3 years. (BTW - The AK-12 - 425-6159 - works perfectly in the 13+ Ford PI Utility but is too tall for the PI Sedan) The Smooth Glide stores against the dash and can be released, slid out and rotated to driver or passenger for ergonomic interaction. Engineered with the officer's safety and comfort in mind, the new Jotto Desk 2013+ Ford PI Sedan AK-7 package delivers the only console/laptop mount solution that would be unanimously approved by passengers of the 2013+ Ford PI Sedan.
Use a standard or rugged laptop computer with our included Cable-Dock® securing system or exchange for one of our Kodiak "iDock" docking stations for the Panasonic Toughbook series CF31, CF30, CF29, CF31 computers and a GK Plate for mounting. Our first in the industry Smooth Glide feature slides the laptop away from the dash for ergonomic use and then slides back when driving.
Our Emergency Sevices Equipment Consoles improve access to communication equipment and other controls, while promoting safety by allowing emergency service officers to keep their eyes on the road, especially while responding to a call. This natural positioning promotes a safe and comfortable workspace for the emergency response personnel spending 8-12 hours a day in their mobile office.
